Another day...

went up to SF to go to this art exhibition of the works of Zhang DaQian. Beautiful, mind-blowing Chinese brush-painting. ::melts into puddle::

Will have to go to dentist today for cleaning.

Dammit, I want to drive a car for no apparent reason. But mom's car is dead. hmmm wonder if it would have an NDE? stupid stupid INS people. I want a REAL driver's license, dammit! (and this temp one expires in a month. gah)

Thinking about what to do with the next 2 weeks. holidays are weird. have not been reacting to holiday cheer and givingness. (not grinch-like hate. Just indifference) Dunno what to get for parents. can't get books, b/c reading English would be too tiring for them. And they don't like much else... (actually, daddy said he wanted me to get good grades. Which obviously doesn't involve B's. bah) And they already have everything they need... and their hobby is Chinese school. And I shouldn't give them something that's frivolous. So it has to be something useful and nifty that they don't already have, that is also within my price range and also within a 20 minute bike ride. (see previous note about driving) ::sigh::

I think I'll go find out where Citibank is. And then maybe do some drawing. or some TTT reading. Winter break == v.v. relaxing! I wish there was a book that talks about composition and layout. esp. of comics/manga

haha, silly me, I'm still waiting till 11pm to check Sluggy. Hel~lo, Sushu, you're not in Chicago anymore! you could have checked at 9!
of course, it's quite pointless now b/c Pete decided to play games instead of draw comic. haha. Good to know he does have a life.

well, wrote a little LotR review thingy in Catherine's comments. (as if you haven't seen too many already!)

y'know what would be totally awesome to have for x-mas? A jedi cloak. There's this guy who keeps on walking around UofC campus in this PERFECT jedi cloak, right color and length and floatiness and everything. Now *that* would kick ass. But given my height (the dentist thought I was 15. bah, I say, bah!), I might fit better in a Hobbit cloak. They are about 3 - 4 ft tall.... "would you like me to describe what's happening, or to find you a box?"

Just found link between Zhang Wufei and Zhang Fei of "Romance of 3 Warring States"! (or whatever that darn book is called in English) W00t! He's still gonna be WenTianXiang, though. hee. (as if I'm ever gonna write the darn thing...)

oh god, I just read the last paragraph and now have bad images of Link sandwiched between petite Wufei and burly Ganondorf-looking Zhang Fei. ewww. >.<
