Jan. 9th, 2016 01:56 pmYesterday afternoon around 4pm I finally got through the Week of Meetings. (Which... I set up and ran roughly 3 meetings a day... why do I do this to myself?) But! Some good things came out of it, and now I just have some more notes to type up and some task orders to assign.
But I've been getting some relaxing in since last night, so it's been great! :) (Even though the growing weight of the babbu has made it a bit harder to sleep... sigh)
I've made a decision re: Tisquantum, which is that I'll finish drawing this current page, and then adding the dialogue to finish up the chapter. AND THEN STOP. I think I can make the necessary dialogue changes to give this chapter a more conclusive feel. If/when I want to pick up Tisquantum again, I'd like to do it from non-Squanto POVs ... short vignette chapters where Squanto shows up as a traveler who never quite belongs. Not only would that provide me with more character variety, I think Squanto's loner-ness is easier shown from the outsider's perspective than from the 1st person.
Relatedly, I've also decided not to check my tumblr dash until I finish this damn Tisquantum chapter. It sounds like a big ultimatum, but I think I'm close! I've got the backgrounds to finish on pg. 90 and one complex panel on pg 89. Then I need to put in dialogue. I feel like I can get a fair bit done tonight. p^_^q
So anyway, I'm going to try to focus on Tisquantum for the rest of today, and then tomorrow I've got a LOT of Chinese school grading to do, so.... yeah. >_<;;;
And then it'll be Monday again, but at least only 2 regular meetings, and I should finish planning the Baby Shindig #1... :)??
