Sep. 20th, 2007 09:13 pmstill chugging away at school. Discipline still an issue. Also, now have announced myspace account to class, which will hopefully deflect most interested searches.
But really, this is a post about food. I had a totally ghetto-tastic but totally awesome dinner the other night, and since I'm still thinking about 2 dinners later, it must be posted.
Anyway, it was "clear out the fridge" night for me. So I deep fried some curry croquettes. And then in a stroke of genius, I put on the pasta sauce I made for ravioli 2 weeks ago*. (By make, I mean enhance. And by enhance I mean onions, ground beef, sausage, and spinach). And miracle of miracles, it tasted really good! Meaty, saucy, veggie, all on a curry potato base. :) And then I unearthed the leftover pumpkin pie filling** from last week*. I had added flour, egg, and baking powder to it last time (1.5 weeks ago) in attempt to make microwave cookies. So I decided to add some water and make it into a pancake thingie. Except when it was in the wok, I decided to add chocolate chips. And once that was done, I decided to roll it up a bit. So, um... I ended up with a pumpkin crepe. And it was tasty!! I think I have found a solution to my pumpkin pie filling problem. :)
Last night I had ramen enhanced with canned "buddhist delight", and tonight I had donburi at some random sushi place. Hey! Tomorrow is Friday again, which means it's anime night again??!
* These have all been sniff-tested. And I haven't died yet. Many blessing to my early-dibsed top shelf! It is really small, but it's top shelf, which means near-freezing, which means longer preservation times.
** For some reason, the pumpkin pie thing is always for a 9 inch pan, but I always have 8 inch pans?? Anyways, I'm always at a loss for that extra bit. When I'm making the crust, and have a muffin tin lying around, I'd just make some mini-pies. But this time I didn't have either.
