Jul. 31st, 2005 10:19 pmokay, is weird, but can't upload to Tidepools or my school account. Um... okay. Also, watched some really lame episodes of Chinese thing. erk.
Oh, also watched House of Flying Daggers while making shumai. Oh man, I was bearing up until the ridiculous ending where all attempts at plot or even coherence is abandoned for... digital snow. Yes. It read like a really bad GuLong novel. ugh. Although the ludicrous machismo of the final battle reminded me of Porco Rosso.
But I met this cool old lady who apparently wrote this book and needs some green tomatoes to make relish with.
And then I came home and called United to cancel my flight, only to chat with this really cool guy about totally random stuff, varying from how "Xia, mother of dynasties" would be a totally kickass rapper name to which books to get when I want to look for a job, to good ribs joints down on 75th, to listening to the cubs game while watching Britney muted. :D
And now, off to video things.
