yesterday was fun. I went to the West-Loop Gallery district w/ SMAC, and there were some pretty cool, unpretentious works and some pretty cool, unpretentious gallery-owners. The Mexican food we had for dinner was good, too. :D

Then I came home and um... slacked off, doing nothing. until late into the night, whereupon I went to bed.

This morning it was Calligraphy Club, and then shopping. Now is work time.

This morning was also a deliriously warm 26 degrees! w00t! (Of course, to celebrate, I wore 30+ weather clothing, so ended up being sniffy anyway. Go me!)

"KASHMIR: A Cultural and Historical Perspective"

Joseph Schwartzberg, University of Minnesota

This event is the inaugural program of the Kashmir Project at the University
of Chicago, a series exploring the overlapping social, cultural, historical
and political elements that define the region of Jammu and Kashmir in South
Asia--the cause of an ongoing international conflict betweeen India and
Pakistan, and the center of a vibrant and dynamic cultural legacy.

Should be pretty fun. I think there's some sort of food involved, as well. Chicago Society's helping, so show up b/c it's cool!
