Kashmir Talk
For any Chicago-ers interested:
"KASHMIR: A Cultural and Historical Perspective"
Monday, Feb. 2nd, 2004: 5-7pm
Biological Sciences Learning Center (BSLC), Room 115
Featuring Professors:
Ron Inden, University of Chicago
Sumit Ganguly, Indiana University in Bloomington
Joseph Schwartzberg, University of Minnesota
This event is the inaugural program of the Kashmir Project at the University
of Chicago, a series exploring the overlapping social, cultural, historical
and political elements that define the region of Jammu and Kashmir in South
Asia--the cause of an ongoing international conflict betweeen India and
Pakistan, and the center of a vibrant and dynamic cultural legacy.
Should be pretty fun. I think there's some sort of food involved, as well. Chicago Society's helping, so show up b/c it's cool!
