Yo!

Got home around 12:30am last night! Dad made some very very yummy stuff like shredded crabmeat and abalone porridge and very well-cooked beef. ::beams::

But yes, got to bed at 1:30. Very proud that I'm still able to subconsciously shut off my home alarm. Woke up at 10-ish today, not bad. Chinese School today, yo! Collecting money and generally making myself useful, responding to various parents' questions, getting to know the first grade parents, etc. (Basically Sushu trying to be social. In a Chinese way)

The computer that's connected has... um... issues. And I'm supposed to figure out what. I guess it's time to find a virus scan thing and pretend I know technology. Say hello to the ghetto imitation CompSci major! ^^;;

But yes, I'm pretty much free, so life is good. Since this is the only computer online in this household, I'll be online less, but still more so than summer b/c this is after all, DSL. (mmm... yummy)

Mm.... Sunday...

Chinese School went all right. Feeling more stupid and incompetent by the minute, but that's how my life generally works. Everyone else is so smart and collected and know where they're going or at least have thought enough about it, while I'm just still stuck in one place, not changing and not advancing, and therefore getting relatively stupider. >_<. Really, I should be going to a school with a good education dept and a good Chinese dept. But I'm not. Double >_<. Oh yes, also got a sore arm from writing receipts for the people paying us money for the next quarter. Lots of people were like, "Hey, you're back! This early?" I'm like, "yeah, just got back last night!" It appears that normal school doesn't get out until next week. Hmm.

Anyway, got home, had dinner, went over to hang out w/ people, which was lots of fun. It's always nice to just talk about random things without the pressure of having to make conversation, yet still managing something fun and/or serious and/or intelligent-ish. It comes from years of established comfort level, no need to ponder if they'll "get" what I'm saying or something like that. Yay for established norms.

My joy of wearing 1 to 2 layers of clothing outside cannot be over-emphasized. Also my joy at having it rain and be sunny at the same time. SUN!!! It's quite a miracle. Thus feeling quite un-Christmasy.

So yeah, then got home around 8:40-ish and helped Dad with processing the checks until 11:30? Yeah, somewhere around there. Much sorting, stamping, numbering and frustration at people who can't write "SCS" and instead put "CSC". >_<. Good thing this appeals to the inner collator/stationery-fetishist. Reminds me of the time in 10th grade advisory where we took that little Career test where it told me I was either gonna be an artist or a secretary. Gee, thanks. But yes, I am expert at copying, manual-collating, stapling, alphabetizing (watch me alphabetize 40 checks by the Chinese name of the student! in 5 minutes! booya!), filing, typing numbers, and all that other exciting stuff. Yes, the Chinese School requires many special skills, everything from secretary work to sounding knowledgable about education in Chinese to dealing with people who are sometimes stupid. Including yourself.

Internet this break: DSL is on one comp at home. Might some time hook up to my comp, but probably will do most of the stuff just on this comp. Yay for USB storage thingies!!

Plans for this break: some webpage stuff, some Chinese school stuff, some friend stuff, some doodling stuff.
