Oct. 2nd, 2002 05:13 pmNote to self: do not steal eat anymore green apples (granny smith?) from the cafeteria. They're sour. Get the red ones. And the bananas.
Well, I went to anime club last night, (esp. since there wasn't much homework), and we watched 2 movies: Metropolis, which was really really cool super spiffy awesome... well, it was a decent anime movie, and goes over all the man vs. robot, basic human emotions and what makes us human, the corruption of society, the base need of revolution and violence, etc. There's a ziggurat! (I think I spelled it wrong, but Tower of Babylon, anyone?) And lots of cool jazz/blues music! and the music *matches*! And then we watched the Cowboy Bebop movie, which is quintessential Cowboy Bebop. It takes place in the middle of the series, so everyone's there. Ed is loverly as usual, and it's all dream vs. real world and weird-ish like that, and it's full of non-typical anime people (re: ugly, multi-ethnic, old...) But it wasn't too different from the anime series in terms of mood and whatnot (the whole cowboy thing, and Spike-angst, and crazy criminals).
I'm having to read this really really long, complicated and stupid reading for Hum. sheh. So I drew a lamppost instead. And today I fell asleep while reading that thing in the library. Hopefully Adam Smith will be better. I love my Soc class. And I'm in the remedial math 153. "Today we will talk about the fibonacci recursive sequence. An example will be rabbit breeding." That's actually the one thing I learned today in that class. He also talked about monosticity but the he did the problem wrong when he put it on the board. Stupid math. Glad I'll get it over with. Spanish is hard. I think I'll drop it and take a cool Chinese class instead. Why am I being such a wimp? Because I finally realized that Spanish doesn't really figure into my future, and even though reading it is cool and I can do it, I'm totally wasting a credit when taking Chinese will be so much more fun.
