Okay, I want to try out my luck on this comp.... did I mention that I love semagic? yes, I did. and I do. Wow, I really need to get used to typing on a laptop keyboard.... it's just a *tiny* bit smaller, so "fn" is where the "ctrl" should be, and I tend to overextend myself when I try to hit backspace or shift and whatnot. Maybe I should start getting my college stuff packed, since most of it is sitting in a large pile in my parents' room. (their room is bigger, so hah.) But then, I'm not going for 4 more weeks. why worry? So I'm just sitting here waiting for all of my files to move over from the old computer. The ethernet thing is still a little problematic. It blinks on and off sporatically and only recognizes my computer. But since the network is based on my mom's computer, which is a Win98, I guess I'll just have to deal with it, and tweak around. None of the protocols match up! And there's so many little shortcuts and whatnot that I can't do anymore. bah humbug.
I got up early this morning to drive on the freeway. It's crazy. My parents maintained that I should start freeway driving when there are few cars, which is 6 in the morning, so they tell me to get up at 5:30 in the morning. Today, I wake up at 5, but it's too dark out, so laid in bed half-asleep until 6:30, when it was finally light. sheesh. I should have just gotten up at 6. And there were cars. Might as well go driving Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon. Anyway, am stressed about driving test. Should drive over there tomorrow to see what's around. Karen, what kind of things did they test you on?
I'm taking a break today from helping out my dad. I know it's really inconsiderate of me, but I have a bunch of stuff piled up over the past few days that I want to get done. One was to set up the laptop. And also write email to roommate. Setting this thing up is taking longer than I thought! So many things incompatible with XP... blarg. I miss my Chinese program. (it refuses to install on here.)
