Feb. 22nd, 2002 10:10 pmWhy do I feel so tired? I agree with Jess, this has been the longest short week ever. Maybe it's the three full day thing, with no block days to relieve the stress. Well, hey, at least all the SciOly stuff is reshuffled. Now everyone will get a nifty packet Monday with a schedule, their events highlighted, and another copy of the event info sheet in case they lost it. Good thing most people aren't doing a lot of re-studying. Even though everyone gets three events, you're only responsible for thoroughly studying one and glancing at the other 2. Yay. Of course, neither of my co-presidents are at home. Off partying. Bah.

Feb. 22nd, 2002 11:43 pmIt's so nice to write in LJ. It gives me a chance to sit down and really think about my day. Or just think. Staring at the LJ client, I can free myself either of the online stupor or the academic stiffness, and just ... muse. Of course, most of the time my LJ has really pointless things, but it's just nice to have some nice quiet time. A little oasis of randomness.
Ironic that I find comfort typing into a little box on a screen.
When I write things in LJ I usually don't have a specific audience in mind. Even though the rational part of my mind reminds me that my rants are being posted for public scrutiny, my conscious doesn't really acknowledge the fact. There is a distinct separation between the Friends page on LJ and what I write in this little box. I hardly visit my own entries. Therefore I don't link my rants with entries on an LJ, entries that are appearing on other people's friends lists. When I occasionally browse through other people's friends pages, I'm surprised and embarrassed to see my long rants just posted out there.
Should I just privatize these rants to save myself from online embarrassment?
What kinds of entries would you prefer to show up on your friends page?? Rants, or Summaries?
