Aug. 20th, 2001 02:06 amIt's only a week before school starts. time to panic. planning to pull an all-nighter tonite to get all my "personal stuff" taken care of. I'll probably end up falling asleep at five and waking up at 10. ::shrug::
Dad left for China today. My grandma isn't feeling well. This comes as more of a shock than my grandpa's death, because I spent so much time with her in the kitchen last time I was home. She was walking 2 miles to buy cheap groceries from open-air markets back then, but now she got some sort of diahhrea (yes, I spelled it wrong) thing, horrible. On the other side of my family, my aunt's getting harrassed by some random guy. o.O okay... there's suddenly a flood of information coming in from China... weird. With my dad gone, I have to keep an eye over Chinese school for 2 weeks, not too bad, since it's just normal weeks, and not the finals or something.
My family always loosens up when one of my parents are gone. When mom is gone, dad makes all these schedules for everyone, forces us to finish all our work, and then takes us out to random places that he had researched beforehand. When dad's gone, mom would suddenly decide an hour before dinner to head out for a walk or go somewhere on impulse. Both very fun. Today we walked to Border's on University, and I got Anna Karenina and two little cheat-guides to html and css. fun stuff. Came home, had dumplings (my mom can't cook as well as my dad, so before he left he went a bought a whole bunch of dumplings and minced pork), and then went to admire the koi pond of the Liang family. (Actually, I'm doing some watering stuff while they're gone.)
Okay, that was probably more than you've ever wanted to know about my life and my family. yay.
There's still that undercurrent of panic that is running oh-so-happily, chanting, "school is starting school is starting school is starting...." gah. ::panicpanic::
you know what? screw the webpage. I need a break. gonna reply to Tochi. and then work on my HP yinyang. Whoo!
