Oct. 5th, 2015 06:58 pmI've survived APE, and spent much of today decompressing by lazing about the house re-reading fanfics and napping. I feel super lucky that I was able to do that, instead of jumping back into work. But yes -- feeling actually relaxed now, and not hyped up on nervous energy. :D
APE was good, in general -- I sold 2 copies of Tisquantum (and almost sold 2 more, if my card reader had worked... stupid Paypal. :/), we sold 10 copies of our Anthology, and I sold 15 copies of China Comics, I *think*. (Still have to do the closing inventory count). Overall there was less traffic than previous years, because the location moved from SF to SJ, so basically only half of the usual SF/Oakland folks came down. :/
This was also our first year tabling as Southbay Comickers! That was pretty fun, although on the first day it got a leeeettle crowded. I think next year I'm gonna have to have a "no more than 6 ppl in the booth" rule. Or a "If you don't have something on the table, go hang somewhere else" rule... With so many people tabling, it did mean that I got to split my table fees 5-ways, and ended up only paying $100 for the table, which ... I actually made up for in sales! (Well, if you don't count the printing costs... heh.
Saturday was especially long for me, but afterwards Hoosband and I worked out some of our communication issues (When I'm stressed/feeling Responsible, I'm particularly bad at asking for help. Meanwhile, when Hoosband is in a Social Situation, he's particularly bad at detecting when I need help.) But after having a talk about that over dinner, Sunday was much better! We both made a conscious effort to be better at communicating. :D
Anyway, I want to do a bunch of doodling tonight, and maybe work on etaiko stuff... :)
