I ran out of the internet
Aug. 16th, 2012 10:34 pmIt's about 10:30pm and I ran out of the internet. Jono says that when you run out of the internet, you have to create more by blogging.

We went to Xi'An! It was fun, but it's sad that all the sights are so far apart. I'm also kinda miffed that we didn't make it out to Famen Temple and Wu Zetian's tomb. Turns out the Terra Cotta stuff was pretty much exactly how I imagined it, which meant it wasn't any more amazing in person.
I really enjoyed the Mosque and wandering around the Muslim quarter! This summer I saw Muslims who were: Tanzanian, Turkish, Qatari, and Chinese! It's pretty cool. The food was good. 羊肉泡馍 (lamb stew with dough pieces) was a bit disappointing, but 羊肉串 (spicy and cumin-y lamb skewers) and 肉夹馍 (a bun filled with meats and peppers, like a mini-pita) remained amazing.
Tomorrow I'm heading back to the USA! And a week later we're going to Cat's wedding! It's been a fun summer, but it's time to start the school year.
