relatively productive day, I guess. Went out and bought another wireless router, and figured out some of this China trip thing. It'll probably turn out that either I'll spend $2000 and join some tour group, or I'll arrange a tour group for Joanne and just stay here. Planning our own trip would be kinda sketchy.
Oh, and then I made cream puff thingies. Like the ones you can get frozen to defrost. Or whatever. It's called "Sushu sees little puffy things on food porn for profiteroles, which conveniently coincided with her need to use up a bunch of heavy whipping cream". I was a bit skeptical at first, but thanks to the wonders of modern science (or maybe that weird foreign magic), the blobs that went into the oven came out poofy! Yay! In the meantime, I made some inari-zushi with leftover inari wraps (yay for microwave instant reheating of old rice to turn into passable sushi rice!). Then I made some cucumber maki with the leftover sushi rice. Although daddy doesn't like Japanese food (ick on raw stuff, ick on sweet), it turns out daddy really likes freshly whipped cream. Go figure. :D And then I added the failed green tea ice cream attempt to the leftover whipped cream, whipped it some more, and now I have slightly more successful green tea ice cream. (Dude, next year, we totally need to get this cute little ice cream maker that makes creamy ice cream in hours. (yes, I know we'll have Aza around with his liquid nitrogen, but think! With this, home-made ice cream can become a non-event!) )
And then in the evening we did some moving of things in the back yard in preparation for the garage rebuilding thing. And there was some sort of movie about some guy and some girl. All in all a good day.

Oh, I just found out it's Jeremy's B-day today.. er... yesterday.... Well, it's way too late to call to wish a happy drinking day, so I guess it's a Dude! Happy Birthday Jeremy!! Here.

And now it's sleep and waking up tomorrow morning to go buy Harry Potter 6. Geez, almost at the end of this thing. That's the problem with serials. You have to stick to it. Maybe some doodlies first.
