laa dee daaa... supposedly writing paper on this painting for Objects of Japanese History. So far I've spent one paragraph doing a visual reading and one paragraph talking a little about sankin kotai. Which means it's 2 pages. I'm really not good at paragraphing. I'd pick a subject and write a paragraph on it. But anyway, now this paper really doesn't have any point. I mean, my sorta-point is that this painting comes from a very in-between source: someone who's not really anything. Not a professional, not a Zen amateur, not a print-maker, and the painting subject is not decorative, is not literati, is not amusement/mitate-e, and isn't current event political commentary. Um, yeah. So what is he?

!@#% stupid corn thingy. So yeah, there's this thing on my foot. It hurts. I've tried getting rid of it, but it just keeps coming back, worse each time. WTF?

Most people know my weakness for containers and bags. It is perhaps the best marketing technique against me: offer free bags or cute bentobako.
So yakpak.com has this deal where for $16 ($10 + shipping), they will give you 3 random bags that they have in their storeroom. Some of them were made as samples and was never officially marketed, and others were discontinued. Alexis gave me a backpack for Christmas that I still use (the red one).

So guess who's just scrunged up $16?
