Nov. 6th, 2004 07:17 pmso last night I tried to knit lace. But I can't seem to understand the ... pattern. Okay, so after several attempts I figured out that yo = add a loop. And so if you progressively decrease, and then make new stitches, you get holes. But then there's this instruction for certain squares to "slip yarn-overs of previous row tog with new yarn-over", which I can't figure out. Are you supposed to slip? or knit? what do you mean by together? arghy.
So today I went to the MCA to see the other half of the China: Past and Future exhibit, and it was really cool. Lots of really good works. Like, contemporary art, but not being oh-so-pretentious about it. Tempted to go back.
And tomorrow's Kim's b-day, so I went and celebrated with her in Chinatown.
I've been falling into really bad sleep habit of going to bed at three or four... and then getting up at around 9:30. Not like, horrible, but not great, either.
