Before, I've been trying to hold everything together with my hands and some clear duct tape. But now I have just decided to let it crumble and rebuild from the beginning. Hopefully into something more stable. It's better to destroy everything and rebuild, anyway. I may not be able to vanish elephants, but I can put things on top of each other.

The foundations will be:
1) Sleep at normal hours. (Before 1am. Aim to wake around 8)
2) Live healthily. That means regularizing at least 2 meals a day, not being lazy about cooking or laundry. And eating that stuff that mom gave you.
3) Live cleanly. Recycle that pile of newspapers. Sweep up the room. Organize and put away that pile of work from last quarter. Recycle certain print-outs from this quarter.

Which is followed by:
4) School work -- do what you can and what you want. This means
- skimming Chinese Foreign Policy because I want to know what's happening in that class,
- reading Confucius closely because Confucius deserves that,
- savoring the French reading when I can
- skimming Hodgson when I have to.

5) Friends -- don't get swallowed up
- spend more time with Joanne, because I miss my girlfriend and the ability to lapse into comfortable silence. No probing, no questioning, just acceptance and understanding.
- remember the gumi. Start thinking about care packages, sending letters, commenting more on LJ, all that stuff. I have been neglecting them of late, being absorbed in new things. Oh, and Julie and Carrie and Lucy!!
- hang out with Isaac and Alexis, be it cooking or walking or just sitting and talking. But give the dear couple some breathing room as well.
- try my best to be there for Kim-angst.

6) Extra-curricular -- triage
- work is good for you, because it's fun, you care about the kids, and Michelle is awesome. Think about that workshop you want to do
- clubs are just clubs. Stop over-stressing about them and acting too responsible, and don't over commit, because you'll just end up being flaky. However, do what you promised to do.
- Alex-tutoring - take a week off and plan a course of action.

7) Personal Enrichment -- setting aside time
- set aside time for drawing.
- understand the need to read relaxing books, don't push yourself too hard on the academic stuff
- make being online worth it.

Well, I think that's the plan. I know this isn't going to happen overnight, but I'm gonna start work on #1-4 today. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll feel confident enough to call home.
