yes, back on my computer! And done with website maintainence for the break. I'd say I should get paid for this, if it weren't for the fact that a) they're paying for college, and b) I have little else to do.

dude, working on my old computer is *hard*, especially after getting used to the scrunched laptop keys, and having livejournal that works, and being able to check email and everything else....

I think I've been over-media-ed this winter break, what with LotR2, LotR Extended (watched the cast interviews, editing stuff, etc, today), movie nights w/ the gumi...

Am miffed: cannot find RK OAV1 anywhere! miss bloody Kenshin. All I can find is dying coughing Kenshin. bah.

Looked up my winter schedule. Will be doing a lot of running around! None of my classes are next to each other. Thursday will be esp. hellish, what with 9:00-10:20 class at Cobb (10 min from dorm), directly followed by 10:30-11:50 class at Social Sciences (7 min from Cobb, plus stairs), followed by hasty lunch at prob. Hutch, then 12:30-3:20 lab at BSLC (7 min from Hutch). That leaves 20 min. for lunch.
Hmm... plus I'm thinking of poking my head into the Wu Hung Chinese Art History class, which is 10 min. after Languages of the World class, but it'll take me about 12 minutes to get there.... which would also mean having lunch in between earlier classes.
I guess the upside is that they're all lots of cool classes, and trudging through snow would be wonderful exercise.
Speaking of Snow, it hasn't snowed in UChicago for a while now... hmm...

o-kay, I totally messed that up... oops. oh well, nothing too bad happened, and yet another harsh reminder to think through before I act. (re: plane tix) Welp, high time to start taking responsibility for own actions.

Today has been vegetation day. lounging about playing games, eating food, watching LotR, wishing to go online... all the good stuff. I think I'm finally LotRed out. ::sigh:: that was wonderful. I wish I was cool enough to have been on the art design/production crew of 3000. That must have been amazing. (well, maybe not the chainmail, but feet, and design, and building... hehe, Alan Lee doing gardening...)

Anyway, basically, 2 more days left here!

Things left to do:
- finish packing (not much left. may have to buy some school supplies, but optional. I'm light packer)
- visit dentist
- download and print some hum reading?
- figure out leaving/airport specifics, b/c have to: return AA ticket, reserve new ones, get ATA tix, check in, wait around.

Things I still want to accomplish:
- something artsy. Have not approached doodle pad since arrival
- GW related stuff. (call Nicole, email Father Paul?)
- skim Corrosion of Character?
- play with brother
- LJ redesign

Goals for Winter quarter:
- don't overload myself
- keep in contact w/ Alitto
- learn to use credit card
- leave campus more, but spend less money. (less movies, more walking + oogling)
- target goal of $400. (so I'll prob. spend around $500)
- write better.
- try hard at academics
- be more willful/decisive. (instead of loitering about online.)
- FOCUS
- learn to make more reasonable goals for Spring quarter
- plan ahead, so that will still have time for clubs.
