The Webteam meeting went okay, I guess. Mr. Ohara was talking about some "liquid design", and it turns out that it's just proportional tables. Why all the hype about that? Aren't webpages *supposed* to be happily resizeable? Speaking of webpages, mark the similarity between the Berkeley website and our Paly website. Hmm.. wonder where Greg and Arash got their site design ideas from? ~_^

We planned a Science Olympiad meeting today, but since all the Juniors had their physics projects to work on, it turned into a Home Depot run with a couple of seniors. We wasted lots of time running around Home Depot and taking turns standing on the push-carts. ^^;; Yesu, a bunch of dorks oogling over pegboards.

Then after dinner my mom and I went *shopping*. It was incredible. Two fashion-blind Chinese navigating through the Stanford Shopping Center. >_<;; We ended up in Macy's buying $150 worth of stuff. It's so weird, I'm not used to clothing costing more than $20. heh. We even got a shirt that has its brand name on it. Of course I have no idea of its implications, but still, it means we are moving upward in the social-economic ladder! My mom has a job so that she can finally relax and go shopping. So now I have some new clothe-y stuff. Hmm.. last time we went shopping... it was last April...

yes! to celebrate my lack of life, a quiz! (I actually went through all the choices, and decided on...

M * A * S * H

You will marry MAXIMUS (played by Russell Crowe) from Gladiator, live in a Coliseum in the middle of Rome, and spend your days moping about lost love and slicing and dicing other
gladiators
.

What's YOUR M * A * S * H future?

because I think he would make a better husband than Neo, Bond, Legolas, or that Mummy guy.

after America in Transition, I have now gained a new pet peeve: the use of "Communist" as a unique adjective, such as "Communist China" "Communist Korea" "Communist Cuba". Yet no one says "Democratic England", or "Despotic Syria", or "Says they are democratic, but ruled by one party Taiwan" (until recently)
