No more SATs!!
Jun. 2nd, 2001 07:26 pmTo everyone who took the SAT I or II today, congrats! You got it over with! With any luck, you won't have to think about that particular test ever again. At least you have a month to escape the wrath of parents before they actually mail you the score. Good Luck everyone! ^_^v
As for me, I took the Writing and the History. I didn't study for the history at all, and I think I messed up at least 5. It was surprisingly similar to the AP, except more statistics and less legislation. 90 questions in an hour, as compared to 80 questions in 55 minutes. The essay writing part for the SAT Writing was *way* too short. How do you expect to write anything good in 20 minutes? I only wrote a page and a half. After 10 minutes I was like, "Shoot! I'm still on the second paragraph!" And the topic was: People's view of themselves is often in conflict with what others view them as. Or something like that. blah! What the heck does *that* mean?
This livejournal thing is so weird. I have to ponder on it some time. For one thing, it is like a private journal where you can record your thoughts and vent about the day, but on the other hand, there's a definite audience (who can actually *respond*), and you have to cater to them a little bit. Well, at least there's a limit to what you can vent on.
It's funny to see how others handle this awkward balance. Some people are "This is me, this is my life, here's some links," sort of an annoucement style. Others are "I feel great today, etc", more of a personal journal. Then there's people who are more conversational, especially if they know who their friends are. Then it becomes more of a forum rather than a journal. .... Anyway, just some thoughts. I feel like I'm writing a one-sided email.....
