mirk. ::stakes out whine space:: My territory.
The Renaissance confuses me. Booo. What's with the Mannerisms and schtuff? Michelangelo has spiffy architecture. Everyone back then was architect-sculptor-painter on the side. And a lot of what I *thought* was Rennaissance is actually "Late Gothic" (Jan van Eyck, hee), or Baroque. Geez. And how come everyone was named Giovanni in Italy? Crazy Italians... Benini and Bellini and Palazzo and Palladio and Pisano and Parmigianino .... they sound like a delectable assortment of cheeses. Anyway, the Book is finally moving past Italy and into the French/Northern Renaissance. More un-pronouncable names. Like Geertgen tot Sint Jans that I read about today. Holland. bah!
Okay, so I shouldn't laugh.... Instead, I shall sleep!
