Have obtained LotR DVD, watched it. Was quite charming. Viggo wih bleached hair and Orlando's mohawk thing. And their little competition between elves and men. Two Towers preview was awesome, can't wait. (esp. for crossdressing Eowyn, the only character I remembered from the book) What is the attraction to crossdressing anyway? the hidden identity thing? the exploring one's masculine/feminine side? The hidden potential? The secret knowledge? Or just because it's funny and exciting?
Have also finished reading Passage. Was nice break from History of Art. Shall start on Renaissance tonight.
Nicole came over yesterday and looked at pediments. And the G-boys on pediments. Huzzah for pediments.
Sunday was last day subbing in Chinese school. Feel relief and regret at same time. Relieve that I don't have to teach again (at least not for a while), and regret that I didn't do a better job. Also got paid. Huzzah. Will save money for Chicago.
