- child continues to be sick. :/
- dealing with sick child expends social energy, even when she's sleeping
- there's been a bunch of household things that I'd planned for this week that's more difficult to do with child around:
---- can't sort her schoolwork for the year because that'd involve throwing away a bunch of stuff
---- can't do certain home repairs because that involves going to Home Depot and wandering around lost for an hour, because I won't know how long I'd be gone, and what if she suddenly vomits?
---- can't do meetings with Chinese school because that involves having a scheduled block of time, because I don't know what her needs are at any given time
---- can't draw comic because that requires a lot of alone time and creative energy
- therefore, I'm now dying for some alone time and just time to do my shit, man
I did manage to completely clean up and rearrange her room, which felt good. I've also given away the duplos and toys, and found a taker for the weird shoe credenza that I regret buying. (Trashnothing gave me a response within a few hours, huzzah!) I might do something similar if we end up not using the futon. I should also wipe down her floor mat (something I can do tomorrow!)
I've also used Stickerapp to order a bunch of die-cut stickers (I designed stickers!! a thing that I'm very bad at!) I'm waiting for the stickers to show up (well, one already did, but I don't like how it looks and did a reprint. Hopefully I'll have some stickers to show y'alls in ~10 days!
I also walked around the complex and marked 30 bushes, so I guess I haven't been completely useless the last few days. I guess I'm just handling the unexpected illness of the child rather poorly.
I also played a LOT of Candy Crush, but I've deleted that app from my tablet so I'm quitting cold turkey.
With that in mind, tomorrow I should:
- mop down child's room
- do more laundry
- unpack the comics that are just chillin' in the dining room, maybe make a quick trip to drop off the surplus
- identify and cement the various craft spaces around our house
- make meetup event for comickers July 4th shindig
- put up wire shelving in the loft
- tackle the dishes (blegh)
