some pics
so, despite my various lamenting of not having time to do my own creative projects, I *have* be able to do some fun things with the fam:
In November over Thanksgiving we started painting the top of a dining room table that we'd just retired. The thought was to make it an outdoor table, but it's been raining, etc. It was lots of fun to design and paint, and everyone contributed!

Yay dollar store acrylics!
In early December we had to make a small secret santa gift for a kid in Childlet's class. Said kid really liked basketball and Kirby, and so, spouse 3D printed a "Stephen Kirby" and then we painted it:
During Christmas break we made tie-dyed shirts for each other, Miss Rutabaga went to Open Mic night to sing "Blinding Lights" while spouse played the accordion, and we made some gingerbread cookies. Here's a cool ninja one that Kiddo made:

And Spouse gave me this super cute Captain America figurine! He sculpted the head and painted the whole thing!!!!
In January we made our customary Chinese New Year's wontons: (front row are Miss Rutabaga's wonton creations)
A few weeks ago, we decided to add a basket to Kiddo's scooter, so Spouse 3D-printed a frame, and then I sewed a basket to it. Collaboration! :D
