... well, waking up to an orange sky, which has remained orange all day...
I miss mid-2020, when I felt like COVID lockdown was a known quantity, and it felt like progress was being made from the BLM protests. Before all of the shenanigans of August.
Anyway, I'm in that state of "I know I SHOULD do work but I don't WANNA"
The fires aren't helping. A part of me wants to cope by turning it into a meme, like "tag yourself, I'm the El Dorado fire -- I react badly to the concept of gender." Or "I'm the CZU Lightning Fire -- vaguely threatening to techbros." Or "I'm the Walbridge Fire -- un-Googlable and refuses to be lumped in with the other fires." Or "I'm the Creek Fire -- people are posting photos of me all over the internet!"
In other news, I had a v. nice Zoom stream last night. Putting the effort into safeguarding the 8-10pm slot on Tuesdays has been good.
- 9th grade: figure out how I want to transition from the Winks reading to China
- grade 9th grade paragraphs
- 10th grade: put writing resources in writing folder
- grocery shopping
- pick up postcards
- answer tedious HCC emails
- write checks
- send school start email
- do taxes
