Some more ideas for climate related comics
Cut out the stuff that is off the table:
- complete denial of world's health
- complete denial of own health
- ignore world to focus on own family
- ignore family to focus on world
And what's left is the stuff we can discuss
Plastic is too cool to be single use
(reducing the recycling pile)
Analogy to dealing with a filthy house -- incremental tasks vs. thorough cleaning vs. acceptance and despair
Individual consumer choices (buying electric cars) vs. institutional choices (building more infrastructure)
- how do you have institutional change when policy is not really an option? (but it is on the local level)
- individual consumer choices can still create infrastructural change (but it takes a longer time)
- just because you feel like you can't make institutional choices doesn't mean you should do nothing (aka fuck climate defeatism because institutions are made of people)
