Fun times
So this morning I come to my car and discover that the rear corner glass pane has been smashed. (that little triangle piece that's not the actual rear window.) At first I thought nothing was missing, but then I remembered that I'd accidentally left my purse on that side after a last-minute dash to get fried fish last night.
Yeah.
So I *think* all of my credit and debit cards have been canceled and re-issued at this stage? I'm going to need to go to the DMV to get a new license, and Hoosband will have to get a new Kaiser card for Rutabaga. I have an appointment to get the car window pane fixed, and I still have to call AAA and see if I get any coverage for fixing that.
I'm thankful that, while frustrating, it hasn't been disastrous. The person who took my cards immediately went to a series of gas stations and bought hundreds of dollars of stuff. Then they tried to Venmo money to themselves. Then they went to Target to buy more stuff. Having my phone to navigate through all of the banks' 2 factor authentication stuff was really helpful. It's nice that society has all these processes in place for what to do in these situations. Chase has been the best at detecting the fraud, shutting stuff down, and getting everything processed. It took me the longest to reach a person with Wells Fargo. Citibank took the longest overall, although it may be because I was doing it over "Live Chat" instead of calling in.
Anyway, other than that, I just have a bajillion narratives to write, but I'm sure once I hunker down to write them, it'll be all right.
- do tie-dye stuff tonight, so that they can dry overnight and I can wash them tomorrow night for wednesday's gift exchange
- finish sorting baby clothes
- a tiny bit of fandom modding stuff
- write SCS checks
- clean out car
Yeah.

Would you like a postcard? I realize that this is a small thing in comparison to a stolen purse, but I want to do something for you even if it is small. I have an address for you, but it may be out of date at this point - PM me your current address?
