Firefox 57

So, Firefox updated, and basically killed all of my add-ons. Some of the smaller cosmetic stuff I can deal with -- I've already added userchrome.css to bring my tabs to the right place (below the url bar), and I can live without a statusbar, but the removal of XUL-based extensions means no more FireFTP and Download Status Bar, which are pretty big things for me.

I remember still clinging to Mozilla 6 when everyone switched to using Firebird (back when it wasn't a fox, heh.) Maybe it's time to switch again.

Here are my options:
- Use Waterfox: https://www.waterfoxproject.org/
- Use the Firefox ESR version, which is still on Firefox 52 for 6 more months: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/
- Use Firefox 56, which might lead to security issues: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox#w_i-still-want-to-downgrade-ae-where-can-i-get-the-previous-version

It's kind of a bummer that it's come to this, but I guess 14 years is a pretty good run.
