Work and not-so-work this week

Yay Thanksgiving week! Today I did a ton of work, and tomorrow I will do more! The goal is to have the company website looking spiffy for the coming holidays (thus buying time to work on other things)

If I do good work tomorrow I'll be able to relax a bit on Wednesday, maybe do some erranding. And if not... well, there's still Thursday and Friday! :D

This year Hoosband is off in the Chi-town for T-gives again, and Dad is back in China dealing with various Family Tragedies. So Thanksgiving is just gonna be me and mom, nice and quiet. Frankly I'm rather looking forward to it! I've decided I'll just make my favorite parts of Thanksgiving dinner, namely:
- green bean casserole
- pumpkin pie
- stuffing
- mashed potatoes
Easy peasy. :D And I think I've got most of the ingredients, except that I thought I had onions and apparently I don't. And more whipped cream won't hurt. And I should check if the green beans that Hoosband got from the farmer's market is still good.

I also just realized that I'm far enough along into this Interminable Batch of Tisquantum Pages (holy cow I feel like I've been working on them since June?? UGH) that I may be able to slap together something un-beta-ed to post for Thanksgiving. (Since Squanto's finally made it back home.) I'd still want to finish the last 2.5 pages before putting in proper dialogue and then sending it to my lovely beta, but in the meantime, there is an almost-acceptable stopping place on pg 88.

(I've now drawn all of the easy parts and 1/3rd of the hard parts of pg 89. I think I have more whining to get out of my system before I can finish is -- there's a panel that's ALL BACKGROUND. And another that's FULL OF EMOTION. ugh. Should I even have these pages? Maybe the pacing would work better if I just skip ahead... man, this is the sort of thing that's made this section SO DAMN HARD. I've seriously re-paced this scene 4 times, and the page count has gone from 6 to 7 to 9 to 8 pages... oTL)
