frickin' a
I had a list of things that were emminently doable this morning:
- email artists to tell them that the position has been filled and can I please send them money
- email teachers with all the links and info that they wanted from Saturday
- finish and submit the accounting.
Instead I spent my work hours putting out fires involving the server.
So then I came home and took a nap and ate food and I'm like *finally*, I can finish and submit the accounting.
But instead I'm getting a deluge of tiny bugs and issues from our shipping person. Things like:
- "I can't find this info" (it's on the front page. Here, I'll even add little arrows so that it's more obvious.)
- "I can't find this school" (since the search hasn't updated since the server update, you'll need to scroll down to find it.)
- "I still can't find this school, I've tried searching by their Chinese name even" (as I said, SCROLL DOWN. I couldn't put in their English name because you didn't give that to me, so you'll have to scroll past that to the Chinese names)
- "This search feature is broken" (Oh, okay, I'll file a bug for it, but it's only been broken since this morning, starting with this invoice, so anything before this morning should still work)
- "This broken search means that I can't guarantee that I've found all the unpaid invoices that this person is asking for." (As I said, it's only been broken since this morning. And it couldn't be fixed because SERVER PROBLEM. Surely this person didn't make another order between 9:30am and whenever you've sent this response?)
- "I think this search function needs to be fixed." (Yes, this is why I filed a bug THIS MORNING.)
- "Please make this new school" (the information you've given me is incomplete)
- "Here's an email forward without any further information" (... what am I supposed to do with this? There's nothing here that you shouldn't be able to answer)
- "I think the front page info should be on a different page." (.... stop. Just... stop)
AARGH.
AND I STILL HAVE TO DO ACCOUNTING AND I WANT TO CRY.
