Sushu rants. And gripes. And looses her paragraphing sense.

Hmmm.... I had planned a rant today. What was it about? Ah, yes, grades.

Grades is a funny idea to me. I don't know, I just don't seem to really care about them. There doesn't seem to be a connection between the work I do and the grade I earn. I don't have the mentality of "Oh, I have to get this score on this test if I want to get this grade by the end of the semester." For me, it's more like "Okay, let's take this test because it's there to be taken." The semester grade is a very vague idea, so it always surprises me to see how much people work for it, "aim" for it, and how thoroughly they understand the meaning of their current grades. Am I being too careless? Should I be more conscious of my grades when I'm doing work? Up to now I've always done homework and written essays because, well, it's something to be done, and there isn't really a quality control, except maybe how much I really feel like doing it. So I suppose the grading system is an incentive for quality control? Anyway, grades are just weird things.

Oh, great, after 3 years I've finally been caught by the Junkmail Demons. No, I don't want free stuff. A USA t-shirt? wtf?
