Woo! My grades and comments are done! :)
Last week was a very weird head space, since I needed to finish up grades and stuff from the first semester, including 2 classes that I've said goodbye to, but I also had to get the ball rolling on the second semester, with all the unit calendars and a new class that I picked up. Plus there were lots of miscellaneous meetings -- a department meeting, a Chinese school meeting, a meeting with a nonprofit org, another with Chinese medicine doctor.... etc etc. Plus I launched Tisquantum as a webcomic, so I spent a lot of time (time I should have spent on school work) on fiddling with Wordpress and editing old Tisquantum pages. Chinese School also started this Sunday, so there was some miscellany I had to prepare for that.
But now that's over! I'm so glad that last week is not how my life is usually! Actually, my entire last school year was wall-to-wall full like last week. So I guess I'm more glad that I'm cutting back and working part time this year!
Right, goals for this coming week!
- Poke around SCS database and see what broke:
---> Chinese text searches fail?
---> Emails with attachments get sent twice?
---> Gradebook still dysfunctional?
---> Essay login problems??
- Get the rest of existing Tisquantum ready for prime time
---> Draw Prologue end page
---> Fix up pgs 12-24
---> Queue up those pages and write historical notes
---> Fix the navigation on tisquantumcomic.com
