Currently in my brain
I'm still getting over my feels for Oliver Queen* (dokidoki), and now I have new, every different feelings for Wolf Children** (saaaaaa), all making a very confusing headspace for the writing grades and comments*** (euggggh) that are due tomorrow.
-----------
* I always end up having "feels" for (a) misunderstood people juggling how the world sees them vs. their real self, (b) who have extraordinary self control over their emotions (which creates a lot of subtle angst), (c) are driven by some greater faith (in humanity, justice, true love, etc), and (d) are highly skilled at what they do. To wit: Jean Valjean (a)(c)/Javert(b)(c)(d), Batman (a)(b)(d), Horatio Caine (b)(c), Black Jack (a)(b)(c)(d), the android in the comic I got at APE (a)(b)(c)(d). Bonus for crossdressing or awesome action. These are the stories/characters that I like to savor: reread favorite bits, stalk the actor's facebook, draw fanart, etc. There are lots of shows and stories that are good, or even objectively better, but the feels seem to only come with this kind.
** Profound family dramas move me in a completely different way. It overwhelms me in this sort of quiet contemplation of life. In the case of Wolf Children, the purity of the mother's love for her children....
*** Stresssssssssss. I'm so not in the right headspace. :/
