Officially moved in!
Yay! Our last box is unpacked, so we're officially moved in!
Stuff left to do:
- get a flatter box for some of the camping material
- take apart and hide the 3 remaining empty boxes
- get more chairs (some from the old place)
But overall it looks great, and I'm proud to say it's our new home! We don't have a guest room anymore, but we still have a 2-person futon, a 1-person futon, and an air mattress, so if you want to visit, there are still plenty of living room sleep options. :D
Also, we now live a 5 minute walk from both the train station and Mtn View downtown, so even though we're paying more for a smaller space, the location still makes it pretty awesome. Email me if you want my new address. :)
The moving process was very long and extenuated, since we had to: (a) move from Oakland to MV, then (b) sort out which stuff to move from PA, which things go to the trash, and which things go into storage, then (c) pack up, and finally (d) clear out of PA. It was complicated by a brief pregnancy on my part, a lot of depression on Jono's part, and a lot of work drama on both our parts, so moving sort of got put on the back burner for a few weeks, and unfortunately mis-communication with my parents caused them a lot of effort and drama as well. :(
But at least we're moved, and hopefully won't be moving for the next few years.
