A Chilean is visiting for the next 3 weeks....
So we're hosting a teacher from Chile for the next 3 weeks? Um... wow, that hasn't quite hit home yet. I wanted to put up the blinds in the upstairs guest room, but turns out it'd require drilling through some really serious steel stuff??? I might go buy a curtain rod tomorrow instead???
Also, grades and comments are due next Monday, but that hasn't quite hit home, either.
Also, my laptop has been having serious power problems. I think it's actually hardware, as in the connectors on my laptop can only detect a power cord about 20% of the time. This means that it takes a lot of random fiddling just to get the laptop to detect plugged-in-ness, which also makes the laptop a lot more "tethered", since I don't want to unplug it and then deal with re-plugging it. Also, when it's plugged in, a simple leg wiggle might make it think it's not plugged in anymore. It.... might actually be a deal-breaker?? I'm a bit upset about this, since I got this laptop last September (alas, I'm now past the 1-year warranty), and I kind of expect laptops to last 3 years.... wtf, Apple?
