Living the Singles lifestyle
Sometimes I think back to all the work that I did in my first year of teaching, and wonder about how I found the time to do all that and still feel sane. Then I get a week without Jono and I remember: I wasn't married then.
To wit, today was:
- Teaching, 8am-11am
- 3 separate meetings + loads of logistics convos with varous folks: 11am-4pm
- Dentist: 4:30-5:15pm
- Dinner: 5:30-6:30pm
- Faculty Council Work (school work that doesn't actually involve teaching): 6:30pm-8pm.
- Chinese School work: 8pm-9:30pm
- Bare minimum lesson planning for tomorrow: 9:30pm-10:30pm
In other words: when I was single I had no life and would work 12+ hour days.
Oh hey, I watched Skyfall yesterday with my parents. It's...decent. The pacing was a bit slow, and it really needed some actual cool female characters (I've accepted that most Bond girls have 2 of the 3 qualities of hot, badass, and having agency, but in this movie there was 2 girls who were hot, and M). It worked pretty well as a re-boot, though. Plus Ralph Fiennes is pretty hot.
