To Do List update
Man, the last week+ has been weird -- between getting sick, Jono's weblog exploding and the resultant drama (someone needed some papping and shooshing), and this weird funk left by the completion of Ch. 1 of the rapunzel comic, I've been kinda slacking off. But! No more!
Curriculum stuff:
- Have Done: Asian Studies unit planning, handouts about question-asking, updated Writing Handbook.
- Still to Do: Make a good Research Database guide, with video. Maybe play around with ck-12 a little bit.
- Can't Do until I get back to the USA: test out iPad apps for Chinese and history
Website stuff
- Have Done: Made new Chinese curriculum website. Started on J.L database stuff. Fixed up Gradebook: reduced a lot of code with for loops, and made a better database table. Made structural plans for old Chinese school website. Migrated my personal site to Hostgator (dramaful, but in the end, okay), and tidied up various bits. Updated Chinese curriculum website.
- Still to Do:
Add gradebook manual entry override.
Make essay system mildly useable.
Add "teacher option" page that allows teachers to set letter grade vs. number grade. (This should follow the teacher, not the class.)
Add gradebook auto-save.
Add email template system for teachers.
Add re-submission feature to essay system.
Comic stuff
- Have Done: Wrote script draft, drew Ch. 1. Revised Ch. 2 script, laid out Ch. 2. Combined Ch. 2 and 3 script, did penciling for new lengthened Ch. 2. Finished Ch. 2. Revised script for Ch. 3-5.
- Still to Do: Polish up Sixteen print.
- Can't Do until I get back to the USA: scan and fix up some more pages of China Comic, make new .pdfs for printing.
Travel stuff
-Suzhou tomorrow DONE!
-Hangzhou this weekend DONE!
- Taipei and Kinmen on Aug 3-5
- Xi'An on Aug 12-16 (stalled: trouble buying train tix.)
Misc Day-to-Day
- resume BANJO
-read about INDIA 600 pages later, DONE!
- work with Jono on Studio Xia
