Been slacking off this week
Man, I guess I'm trying to recover from an April that was TOO INTENSE, because I haven't been motivated to do ANYTHING productive beyond the bare minimum the last few days. :/
For example, yesterday my students introduced me to Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi which is a shounen-ai series about guys who work as editors at a shoujo manga publishers. I liked the fact that the youngest main character is 25, and they actually have to deal with work life, etc, and most of them are able to deal with relationships like adults (except for the main uke). So... I watched 7 episodes out of 24. :/ (BTW, if interested, I would recommend watching episodes 1, 2, 4 of season 1 and 10, 11 of season 2. It skips all the unnecessary angst in the middle. Or, if you just want a one-shot dose of SO MANY FEEEEEELINGS, season 2 episode 6 hits the spot).
Anyway, I've been unproductive all week, but the guilt has really been getting to me. :/
(current queasy feeling might also be attributed to the 4 cookies that I just ate)

The above was written Friday mid-morning. I then had a busy school day, but I was able to cut out early and took a 2 hour nap at home which was so refreshing and rejuvenating -- I finally feel energized to do things!
So last night we had a board game night up in Oakland, and crashed at Chris' place, and this morning we played Chris' super-short superheros card game rpg, which has lots of potential. Then we had yummy dim sum (waiting for the restaurant to open, standing in line with a bunch of old cantonese couples...). Then we went to Taiko, where Jono was put on the spot to teach the shime solo of a song (Go Jono!), and then we went back to Chris' place and played Sentinels of the Multiverse -- it wasn't very fun. We got our butts kicked ... twice! by Citizen Dawn. D: While I like the villain engine in that game, so much of it so grindy, and it's very easy to end up playing an unbalanced game.
Anyways, I feel energized again, so I guess I'm finally out of my "post-busy-travel" funk! Yay! I'm VERY GLAD that I'm not traveling in the month of May. Yay!
Now, instead of a to-do list, let me actually do stuff. :D
