So I've had a very intense week -- doing accounting for Chinese School (basically involves sitting down and inputting all of the $$ transactions of the previous year, and then parsing the various tax forms to figure out the right boxes to put the right numbers). And at the same time, I was doing a ton of grading and Jono was in San Francisco deciding whether he liked San Francisco or not, and then the Life Drama that had felt resolved last week unraveled and had to be re-resolved.

Yesterday afternoon was a pretty low point for me because I felt tired from all the work, stressed about all the work I had yet to do, and Life Drama had left me emotionally wobbly. I did the digital equivalent of angst-dialing.

But then I got home and did some dishes and some laundry, Jono sent me a sweet email that concluded Life Drama, and I got a lot of Chinese School work done. It rained, which felt very cathartic. Basically, by 9pm I was feeling sane and happy again. This morning I did more Chinese School stuff and drew a comic for taiko, and then drove up to Taiko and reunited with Jono. Then after dinner I came back down and did more Chinese School work.

Tomorrow is pretty solidly Chinese School stuff -- it's our Teacher Conference Day. But I'm in a waaay better place than I was yesterday afternoon, and I think our marriage is in a better place, too.
