(no subject)

What I *should* be doing is ...
- Grading student essays
- Preparing for Brazil trip

Instead, I've..
- Built a glass underwater base linked through a natural cave system in Minecraft, that also connects to a tree fort that I'm building.
- Watched a lot of Castle.

What I've discovered about Minecraft for me is that:
1) The possibility of creepers makes me hyper-tense and ruins the game for me. So wussy peaceful mode it is. I think part of it is attachment to my loot and my house. I hate having to repair holes after a creeper explodes.
2) I binge -- I would go in, do a project, and then not play for a week or more, until I get an itch for another project.

It's like the videogame version of "This Old House", right? :P

Glass underwater base! I am so jealous!

I wish we all had a shared server we could play on. I know it would have creepers and stuff, but there'd be people to help you rebuild! Also, I always end up losing interest in my Minecraft world, because there's no one to show it off to. I was running a server for a while, but Kino isn't quite up to it. I may try again, though.
