I can't tell you how much I love the EFF. I'm not usually a person for advocacy, especially through organizations that may not share my agenda, but the EFF is the closest group I've found to the good guys on any issue ever. Internet privacy, free speech online, expanding fair use of copyright... they're on the right side of everything. <3
My browser also had a unique signature. Fortunately, AdBlockPlus means that no one can advertise to me even if they can identify me, but I suppose the government could subpoena ad company records to find out where I've been surfing. It's hard to know what to do about that sort of everyday privacy violation. :(
