MOG
So I dreamed that me, Jono, Chris and Alexis were playing this game that Chris brought over, called MOG. It had this beautiful artbook/card info/comic. Basically, every page was artwork of a card, with text explaining the functions of the card and when to use it, but also other text that made that card part of a comic. But the card game itself was pretty complicated -- you have a deck of cards that had: character cards (they had a black frame and a picture of the character), character attribute cards (green), special abilities cards (blue), map cards (that you can actually unfold into a map), and some normal poker-deck cards. So on each turn, you can have two actions. For example, you can introduce a character and give him/her attributes. Or you can send another character or everybody to a place by playing the map card. Or you can give a character a special ability and fight using the poker deck cards to play Big Two. There were also these "money" cards, which were basically poker-cards that have the word "MONEY" written on the top in a fancy font. The goal was to have as much money as possible and use up as many cards as possible.
The first game I was really confused. Chris brought us all to Staten Island, and then we went to the Statue of Liberty (Dream Sushu didn't know that's the wrong island) and fought a guy who was like Cyclops from X-Men, and prevented the Shrinking Man from stealing the crown of the Statue of Liberty. But I was very confused, so I wasn't very helpful, and I was wondering how to tell Chris that this game is pretty, but Too Complicated.
The second game I was finally figuring things out by reading the artbook/instruction book. It had a story about a very brave kangaroo mouse who was trying to fight giant beasties in a desert landscape. After the comic, there were some white pages that had instructions on the game, so I was like, "awesome!" But then after a few pages of that, suddenly all the pages were upside-down. That's when I turned back to the cover and realized that I was reading the wrong side of the book: it said "MOF: the knightly expansion rules". And I was like, "doyyyy... I'ma stupid". So I flip the book over, and it had a cover of a mouse riding in a hot air balloon, and that side said MOG.
Anyway, so for the third game, I was finally figuring it out. But first, I wasted 3 Money (everyone starts with 5) to win a bid on two black 2's (I had a 2 of hearts, and I was trying to stockpile a triple-2 for fighting purposes). And then the setting was a swamp, so I created a goblin that guards a bridge for the other people to fight. It was pretty cool: The bridge is blocked by a large tree stump, and my goblin was on the stump. He was on fire. There was also a stone thing that repeatedly crushes down on him (it's some sort of penance/hell thing). As a result, he's super angry and wants to pull anyone who walks by into his misery. And the only way to the bridge is over the stump... But then Chris was like, "This is too complicated. Let's play the beginner's version where there isn't the thing coming down." :( So I just consoled myself thinking that at least I got to use a bunch of my cards.
So it was my turn again. This time I had the Staten Island card, so I decided to send everyone there. Alexis was like, "Ah yes, the Shrinking Man." So we go to the Statue of Liberty and I was trying to figure out when is the best time to equip my "See/Travel Through Walls" special ability (special abilities only last a certain number of turns). I was looking through my deck because I remember that I had 3 of these, but then I could only find 1, so I was looking in the box through all the random crud booklets to see if I accidentally dropped them.
And then I woke up.
