on the topic of money....
It's always weird to hear me and my dad haggle over money. (In other words, me trying to get money out of him, while he tries to get money out of me.)
"Dad, I need $48 for transcripts"
"Ah, but you still owe me ... wait, how much did you earn this winter break?"
"um... around $180"
"okay, so you still owe me 40% of that, $72"
"eh... but you still owe me lunch money."
"Okay... fine. So use your money for the transcripts and lunch, and I'll cancel out the wage tax"
"But my checks won't be arriving until the 24th!"
"Do you have $50 cash?"
"... yes."
"Then just use that."
(and the result is... a tie!)
Okay, what lead to that memory? oh yes, I bought pizza for lunch today. Something I haven't done for all of my four years at Paly. Today I finally caved in and bought pizza. you know, the greasy pizza with barely enough cheese to look decent....
