Birthday/Year in review time!

Doods and Lassies,

Yup, that's right, it's time for ye olde Year In Review, wherein I ponder my various exploits and mishaps of 2009. New Year's Resolutions shall come either tomorrow or with the new year.

:D!!
- MARRIAGE!! Um, yeah, whoa. Jono proposed to me at the Grand Canyon in March, and then we got married on June 26th. DUDE. People keep asking me how's married life. Well, married life isn't that different from long-term dating. I mean, before marriage, we lived together. Now that we're married, we're still living together. I don't think there'll be any DRASTIC change until I start popping out babies, and that'll be a while. What's cool is getting a joint bank account for whenever we spend things for our collective (like groceries, rent, etc), but we still get to keep our own bank accounts for personal expenses.
- The wedding, though kinda ghetto, was really fun! I was so happy to see so many people show up from all over everywhere, and all of the presents and performances were so cool. I feel so honored to have such a bunch of awesome and creative friends! I love you guys!! My one regret for the wedding was that I didn't get to hang out with people enough.
- ACen: We had massive gaming sessions of Mountain Witch and Bliss Stage. I wandered around the con with Cat, and got to hang out with so many UCJAS alumni and others. Yay!
- Made 4 of the 5 things for the 5 people who signed up: Drew a Cat on a tote bag for Cat, Made a fox hat and fox bag for Alexis, made a fan for Ben that had all of his role-playing games on it, and made a pink cake figurine for Carrie. They were lots of fun because I was trying to experiment with new creative mediums. :D One more to go by Jan 25th!

XD?
- Honeymoon of doom?? XD. The sprained ankle really messed up our Japan/China trip. So we'll have to do it right this summer.
- Started another year at Menlo. Now I'm there from 8am-6pm every day, so I definitely feel more a part of Menlo. A new bunch of kids, a different textbook, a BTSA person, various professional development bits, but things are going all right. This year feels rockier than last year, but I think next year will be better than both this year and last year as I get things figured out.
- Moved into new apartment: bigger, but with lots of finicky problems like not-drinkable water.

:(
- Didn't hang out with friends much -- especially friends that aren't also friends of Jono. Trying to negotiate the "spending time with Jono" and "spending time with friends that Jono don't know"
- Have had nasty rash on my waist for many months?? Generally concerned
- General falling off of Chinese school related work.
- Not enough creative projects to match Jono??

Man, if your wedding was kinda ghetto, then I don't want to be... not-kinda ghetto...

Let's try that again. Man, if your wedding was kinda ghetto, then color me ghetto, cause that was some... wait

I really liked your wedding a lot.

Having been to one "ghetto" wedding and one non-ghetto wedding this year, I am of the definite opinion the "ghetto" wedding was way less lame. I uh... I'm still working on your wedding present but it's like going to be an anniversary present maybe ^^;;

Expect an email from me soon

I love that bag!!
I finally broke down and had to wash it (spill enough coffee in something and it just becomes unavoidable)....and the ink faded! *despair* Which was why I put off washing it for so long... maybe you can touch it up at ACen or something?

Yeah, I don't think your wedding was ghetto. Just... nontraditional, maybe? Anyway, it was the best wedding I have been to, and I have been to a lot of weddings.

Also, I love my bag! And my slightly-deformed fox hat.
