Tentative wedding plans for those interested
We've been discussing it off and on over dinner. These are the tentative (handwavy) plans:
Date: Saturday, June 20th
Location: South Bay somewhere
Noon: Immediate families, small ritual and picnic in a park somewhere.
Evening: Friends who want to show up, take over a restaurant, have food and booze. Hopefully also with karaoke at the restaurant. (Basically, Chinese-style 晚宴 and revelry. Teasing and tall tales encouraged)
DONE!!
I've been informed that there's this tradition of giving presents. Our decision is thus:
A) Present not required, especially in these uncertain economic times
B) If you do want to give a present, we'd like something created by you. Possible ideas include --
-- Cook/bake something
-- making a mix cd (Jono always needs new music)
-- telling a story
If you really want to give a boughten present, then it should at least come with a fun story. ("I traversed the deserts of Arkath to bring you this fondue set. Please keep it in your car, wrapped, for emergency re-gifting needs.")

South Bay is like in Cali, right? I am not sure I could make it since it's like a small affair, but I will be wishing you all the best from Michigan!! And I will wish you it in person at Acen!! OMG This is so huge! <3<3<3

More drunk than usual for what? If I remember correctly (and I think I do) we (at least I) got at least a little trashed last year on Saturday resulting in my shirt getting stolen!! XDXDXD
Okay but still, I suppose you're right, not really drunk.
