Birthday/Year in review time!

Thank you everyone who wished me a happy birthday! (And now I know how many people are facebook people!) Yesterday was fun -- spent part of it with Jono, Alexis, Ben, and my brother playing Tigris and Euphrates and generally geeking out. Then Jono and I went over to my parents' and had the traditional 3 birthday dinners -- hot pot, long life noodles, and cake (mango mousse)!

Also, yesterday morning I got an email from Past Sushu from when I graduated from STEP to 25-year-old me. It was pretty awesome.

As always, a review of this year today. New Year's resolutions will come with the new year.


Accomplishments:
- Boyfriend! Of long-termy sort!
- survived first year of teaching, including various gaffes and charter school politics.
- Went to Beijing to volunteer for Olympics
- Road trip around the US with Joanne and Johs
- Finally started a comic which I might have the wherewithal to continue
- teaching at Menlo School! (not permanent, but pretty awesome. Free Lunch!)
- Real Christmas with Jono's family!
- Finally understanding how guanxi works.

Fun moments:
- ACen -- Roaming the con with Cat, getting Very Drunk with Alex and dancing with a hot guy at Soap Bubble. UCJAS ex-prez reunion! Trying Helena's cute loli clothes!
- Wandering around Beijing with Monv
- Camping at the Big Sur with Jono, Jeremy and Cat
- chillaxin' with Alexis and Ben
- Wandering around Chicago with various peeps.
- Wii-ing it up

Regrets
- not reading enough
- failing to go to SF properly.
- not staying in contact with STEP friends and Kim
- not doing enough for Chinese School
- breakdown of apartment -- Rene moving out, then me living with Jono, then Amy moving out. Now it's just Stephanie there. :(
