We had a kid in our dorm go nuts one year, and one of his things was that he insisted on drinking warm water.

Warm coke? DO NOT WANT

Personally I'm not a big fan of ice water either, especially since it's usually way too cold.

Repeated exposure to countries not so fond of ice has impressed upon me that America's thing about filling up a glass with ice first and then letting a drink seep through the cracks between the ice cubes is weeeeeird. And then soda fountain drinks are calibrated to be mixed with ice and so they're sickly sweet if you don't.

But warm beer is a fucking travesty. The Germans never pesuaded me otherwise, and fortunately the Macedonians have no truck with that sort of nonsense.

Warm beer's not *too* bad, but yeah, there are some drinks that are designed to be drunk with ice. I've become one of those fussy people who like water room temperature. Which is why I don't usually drink restaurant water... So the Macedonians aren't that into ice water either?
