Mailing List help!

Help, techie peoples!

I need to... um... make 32 mailing lists in the next 2 days for Chinese School classes. How can I do this? I'm thinking either using existing web services or to "install" something on mychineseschool.com . I need something with list moderator/manager stuff.

Existing Web Services:
- google groups is cool, but it has a list-creation limit of, I think, 4/day. Which means I'd have to use 4 email accounts over 2 days. Plus they screen if I do add-only instead of inviting. But it's okay, I can invite.

Installed server-based programs:
- phpList looks lame (is it just me, or am I required to use their web interface to send mail?)
- mailman looks scary (I'm confused -- Do I need to convert my mac into a mail server, or just to build it from its downloaded form? But then I also upload it to the webserver?)

Anyways, suggestions of how to do this!

We use Constant Contact at work, but you have to pay for it (http://www.constantcontact.com/pricing/index.jsp ) -- you get charged based on how many email subscribers you have, not how many lists you have. I don't imagine it would cost more than $30 a month for you (that's 500-2,500 emails in your system; if you have under 500, it's $15 a month).

We use it for all our newsletters, whether it's the regular updates, conference updates, or ad network updates. I don't use it personally (I'm not a newsletter-send-out-er), but everyone seems to like it.
