Road Trip! (can we visit you?)

Me and Joanne are headed out on Road Trip today. Destination: America. Duration 3.5 weeks

Our current plan is to start by going south, head east when we hit LA, and then head north when we hit the Eastern Seaboard, and then head West when we hit Virginia or so. Times and routes are flexible* as we visit friends, so:

- Where do you live?
- Can we come visit you? (have lunch/dinner? crash on your couch?)
- How can we meet up with you?
I should have email access throughout the trip, and my phone number is composed of 650 pencils, 283 laptops, and 7008 crunchy rice snacks.

Also, anything Brilliant that we should see?

I feel like most everyone is either in the Bay Area or Out of the Country....

----------------------------------
*Details of Current plan:
- stop by LA to visit her friend,
- cross the Rockies to Grand Canyon for some camping
- stop by Colorado to visit people
- go through Texas to New Orleans, with some stopping at Route 66 in Oklahoma and Austin
- Swoop up to South Carolina where she's got people
- somehow find our way across the Appalachians and to Chicago
- Joanne has a friend in Wyoming? We have instructions to visit the Corn Palace? This part is a little more hazy
- Visit Seattle
- ?

Yes, you may visit, for lunch, dinner, and possibly crashing on the couch, although I don't know if you will both fit. You'll probably get to Berkeley on the great loop homeward after hitting up Seattle,* so we'll probably be in our new apartment then. Exact details to follow when we have them.

*This reminds me of when you're sitting in a circle in kindergarten and they're going to do something fun going around the circle, taking turns. And they start with the person right next to you. And you're all excited that you're next. And then they go the other way around the circle.

Feel free to come by and crash. I've got two couch-beds you can crash on, and a projector to watch asian dramas and anime on. Or play really big Katamari Damacy. I live next to Lake Merritt and Oakland Chinatown for eating goodness.

a request

Remind me, say, two days before you show up in Seattle. Otherwise I'm going to have forgotten.

Oh, also, if you're coming to Seattle, does it make sense to meet everyone who might be around the area at once or would you want to meet up with people individually?

(Getting to downtown Seattle from Bellevue isn't too difficult for me - I have a direct bus)

That sounds like a good plan! I'm not sure how easy it is to arrange a tour, but I can try to find that out. It might have to be an informal tour, though. :)

Okay! I'll see what I can do~

Doesn't sound like you're going through Detroit? If you are you can stop in mine though. :D

I'm in Seattle too!

If your trip is after next Tuesday you could come to see Cage and me in LA, maybe? I'd have to run couchspace by Cage, but I'd assume that would be a-okay.

I IS IN LA.

You can crash here or have whatever meal you'd like, but if you're visiting another friend maybe you don't need a couch. :3 Let me know ASAP!

OH SHI

You're definitely welcome to come over but I'm sure my place is not nearly as shiny as a studio would be. What studios do you want to go to? Aside from Universal I'm not sure what others there are that are easily tour-able for the public.

However if you want to come swim our pool is awesome :3

If you're still up, let me know what's a good time to call, otherwise I'm probably gonna sleep till noon. ::zzz::

Or you can call me. 408-821-1162

Dude, do you have a place to stay in Austin? You are absolutely welcome at my co-op! I will be gone June 22nd-30th but any other time is fair game although I work during the day Mon-Fri so you'd have to work around that. Be forewarned that as a co-op it is quite... communal. I have room for probably one of you in my room on a mattress and for the other on a couch out in the open in the common area of one of the suites. Alternatively, you can "hostel" for $14 each a day, which means you could both get a bed in a room, assuming there is an extra room for hosteling.

If you're going to Seattle, you can obviously stop with us on the way down. Although I imagine Joanne might have something to say about that.

Jesus Christ, by the way, that's a long trip. By the time you get to me I imagine you will be ghosts of your former selves
