fuck
my computer. I left it in the classroom from 2:30-6:30 during which time I went home, emptied out my car, drove my car to the fix-up place, and learned that it would cost $5059 to fix my car, which is about as costly than my car itself, and then I came home and offered to drive my roommate to a class she's taking at Stanford because she looked sick, and I stopped by the classroom to pick up my computer.
And it's gone. Not there. Nada. Zip.
That $1000 computer is worth much more to me than a $6000 car.
Life, please give me some time to mentally deal with..
- losing possibility of not being single (Saturday)
- almost losing my life but not (Saturday)
- losing a large chunk of my life (Monday)
dammit.

I'm most frustrated about losing the vast amount of curriculum that I'd accumulated
.... and slightly worried about someone discovering my *ahem* hentai that I haven't tried very hard to hide.

Oh dear.
Yeah, Alexis can tell you how touchy I get when she pokes around my hard drive.

That aside, wow, that's shitty. I hope your lappy returns safely and that this marks the end of your current series of catastrophes.

What amuses me is how hard some people work to hide certain folders on their hard drives and then leave their bootleg Chinese hentai out in plain sight.

Is the $5059 the minimum it would cost to get the car into working order? Sometimes they can fix the car for a lot less, although the car might not turn out super pretty...

Yeah, I dunno.

At any rate, it's all uphill from here, right? It can hardly be worse, and if it were, you wouldn't be in a position to complain (although that's a rather gruesome thought that I'll quash right now. In fact, I'll just stop typing altogether.)

And I never congratulated you on your grad school acceptances! Congrats!
